About Resume Builder
The Resume / CV Builder turns a structured form into a printable PDF resume with a live on-page preview. You pick one of six layouts — Classic ATS, White Minimalist, Modern Professional, Teal Sidebar, Navy Sidebar, or Bold Header — then enter contact details, an optional professional headline, a short summary, comma-separated skills, work experience and education. Switching templates reuses the same form data, so you can compare a single-column ATS layout against a coloured sidebar without retyping every bullet.
Experience rows accept a job title, company, date range and one achievement per line; education rows take degree, school and year. The preview updates as you type so you can tighten wording, reorder emphasis and check how skills wrap before export. PDF generation uses pdfmake entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to ToolSink — and the downloaded filename is based on your full name (for example Alex_Rivera_resume.pdf). Full name is required before download; other fields can stay empty if a section does not apply.
Classic remains the default: a readable single-column document with standard headings that most applicant-tracking systems handle cleanly. Minimalist centres the header with thin rules and more whitespace. Modern adds a blue accent band. The teal and navy sidebar themes place contact and skills in a coloured column beside the main body. Bold Header emphasises name and title for portfolio-style or creative applications where a human will open the PDF first.

Common questions about Resume Builder
Will this pass an ATS?
The Classic template is a single-column text PDF with conventional headings (summary, skills, experience, education) and is generally ATS-friendly. Coloured sidebars and bold headers are fine when a person opens the file; use Classic when you know a parsing system sits in front of the recruiter.
Can I switch templates without losing content?
Yes. The gallery switches among Classic, Minimalist, Modern, Teal Sidebar, Navy Sidebar and Bold Header while keeping the same form fields. Only the visual layout changes until you download again.
Is my resume data uploaded to ToolSink?
No. pdfmake runs in your browser and the PDF downloads locally. ToolSink does not receive or store the form contents.
How should I format experience bullets?
Put one achievement per line in the bullets field. The builder treats each line as a separate bullet in the preview and PDF. Prefer concrete outcomes (metrics, scope, tools) over vague duties.
Can I add a photo or custom sections?
Not in this version. Many markets prefer resumes without photos unless requested. Custom section titles beyond contact, summary, skills, experience and education are not supported yet.
