Barcode Generator

Generate 1-D barcodes (CODE128, EAN, UPC, ITF-14, Codabar…) with custom size and colour. Download as SVG or PNG.

What is the Barcode Generator?

The Barcode Generator creates 1D barcodes in the most common formats — CODE128, CODE39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and ITF-14. Enter the data, pick a format and the tool renders a scannable barcode you can download as SVG or PNG.

Barcodes remain the workhorse of retail, logistics and warehousing. Whether you are labelling stock in a small store, generating library book codes or printing shipping tags, this tool skips the complicated setup of desktop label software.

Because barcode rendering runs in your browser, the identifiers you generate (SKUs, tracking numbers) never leave your device.

How to use the Barcode Generator

  1. 1Choose the barcode format (CODE128 is the most versatile).
  2. 2Enter the data to encode.
  3. 3Adjust bar width, height and text options.

Frequently asked questions

Which format should I use?

CODE128 for general use — it handles letters, digits and symbols. EAN/UPC for retail products.

What data length can I encode?

CODE128 up to ~40 characters. EAN-13 needs exactly 12 digits (13th is a check digit).

Will the barcode scan on any device?

Yes — the generator uses standard specs that every scanner and phone camera app supports.

Can I add a logo?

Not on 1D barcodes — the bar pattern must remain uninterrupted.

Is my data uploaded?

No — generation happens in-browser.
