Why this page exists
ToolSink is a working toolkit first. Each public tool page also includes a short original guide: what the utility actually does, how to use it, when it helps, and where it falls short. Those guides are written by us for that specific tool. They are not syndicated from another publisher and not generated as a block of interchangeable filler.
What we publish
- Working software — a real in-browser tool you can finish a job with, not a teaser that demands an account.
- Tool-specific guides — steps, limits and questions that match the controls on that page.
- Blog how-tos — longer original articles on PDFs, images, encoding and similar topics, linked from the matching tool when it helps.
- Publisher pages — About, Contact, Privacy, Terms and Disclaimer.
What we do not publish
- Scraped or lightly rewritten articles from other sites.
- Guest posts, sponsored reviews, or thin affiliate landing pages.
- User comments, forums, or open search-result pages meant for indexing.
- Near-identical “doorway” URLs that only change the tool name. Where two utilities overlap (for example SQL Formatter and SQL Beautifier), we keep one as the documented default.
Honesty over hype
Calculators are estimators, not professional advice. Health tools are screening helpers, not diagnoses. Finance figures should be checked against your bank or tax rules. We state those limits on the tool page instead of promising outcomes we cannot deliver. When a guide is rewritten or a duplicate page is retired, that change is listed on the site updates page.
Ads and low-value screens
When ads are enabled they sit next to real publisher content — the tool plus its guide — and are labelled as ads. We do not place ads on pastime pages (browser games) or on the internal search UI. Those screens exist for visitors, not as inventory.
Corrections
If a guide is wrong, incomplete, or copied from somewhere it should not be, email toolsink.support@gmail.com or use the contact form. We update the page rather than leaving a known error live.
