About Watermark Image
Watermark Image overlays text or a logo onto a photo and lets you download a PNG. Controls cover font size, opacity (0–100%), rotation in degrees and placement: centre, four corners, or a repeated tiled pattern across the frame. Text marks draw in bold system UI type with a white fill and dark stroke so they remain readable on both light and dark areas of the photo.
Creators use watermarks to discourage casual reuse of portfolio shots or to brand sample previews sent to clients. A light diagonal centre mark can signal “PREVIEW” without hiding the subject; a denser tile pattern (step sized from font size) makes uncredited reuse more obvious. If a logo file is loaded, it is scaled to at most 25% of the shorter image side and drawn instead of text for that placement pass.
Processing is canvas-based at the source image’s native width and height, so pixels stay on your device. Limits and honest caveats
- Watermarks deter casual copying; they are not strong DRM and can be cropped or cloned by determined actors.
- Very opaque or large marks can obscure the subject — prefer subtle branding when the photo must still sell the work.
- Logo mode replaces text drawing for the watermark pass; clear the logo if you need text-only again.
- One image at a time — batch watermarking is not included in this version.

Does this upload my photo?
No. Drawing and PNG export happen in the browser canvas. Closing the tab discards the in-memory image.
Can I watermark many images at once?
Not in this version. Process one base image per session, download, then load the next file.
What file type downloads?
Always PNG (image/png) for predictable results with logos and transparency-friendly workflows, regardless of whether the source was JPEG or WebP.
Will tiling slow the page?
Large megapixel images with dense tiling perform more canvas draws. Give slower devices a moment after each control change; reduce font size or avoid tile if preview stutters.
How does logo sizing work?
The logo is scaled uniformly so its larger dimension fits within 25% of the shorter side of the base image (and never upscales beyond 1× native logo size). Placement still follows the selected position or tile grid.
