What is 2048?
2048 is a sliding puzzle on a 4×4 grid: every move slides all tiles in one direction, matching tiles merge into their double, and a new 2 (or occasionally 4) appears. Reach the 2048 tile to win — then keep going for 4096 and beyond.
The classic strategy is corner discipline: keep your biggest tile in one corner and avoid the one direction that would dislodge it. Your best score is saved locally in your browser.
